Let’s talk, Saskatoon!
CONDUCT & ELECTIONS
The Saskatoon Municipal Review Commission (SMRC) invites interested citizens to listen or present their thoughts at one of two public hearings in June about the Commission’s mandate on three important topics:
- Compensation/remuneration for members of City Council
- Code of Conduct for members of City Council
- Municipal elections
Thursday, June 18th, 2015
7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Cosmo Civic Centre
Wednesday, June 24th, 2015
2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lakewood Civic Centre
Citizens wishing to present to the Commission are encouraged to register by calling 306- 975-3240 or emailing email@example.com. Persons giving presentations will be given ten minutes to present their thoughts about any or all of the listed topics. Members of the Saskatoon Municipal Review Commission will be in attendance to gather comment from people who live in Saskatoon, & may ask questions of presenters for clarification.
The goal of the SMRC bylaw (No. 9242) is to provide recommendations to City Council following a thorough review of current practices. This includes an opportunity for citizens of Saskatoon to provide feedback on current election, remuneration, & code of conduct policies.
Can’t attend? Visit Saskatoon.ca/SMRC before June 30th, 2015 to complete an online submission.
