The new Protected Bike Lane downtown (along 23rd Street between Idylwyld Drive & Spadina Crescent) is scheduled to officially open on July 15th at 11am. There will be a media event with City Officials & Saskatoon Cycles.

A Protected Bike Lane is a dedicated, marked lane for people on bikes that is physically separated from vehicle & pedestrian traffic by parked cars, a painted buffer & flexible posts.

Information on the protected bike lanes & how to use them can be found at https://www.saskatoon.ca/moving-around/cycling/cycling-plans-projects, including a short video & another more detailed video to come after the lanes are in operation.
