Mount Royal Community Association (MRCA)
The Mount Royal Community Association (MRCA) plays an important role in coordinating recreational & sports classes for the community. The MRCA organizes adult & youth classes every fall & winter (ie. Belly Dancing, Zumba, Yoga, etc….) at affordable prices. The MRCA also maintains the outdoor skating rink located behind Howard Coad School.
The Mount Royal Community Association has re-started Citizen Patrol walks to help keep our neighbourhood safe. Citizen Patrol is a crime prevention & crime interruption program supported by the Saskatoon Police Service & the public to help create a safer community.
Please consider volunteering.
Come & join us! Please contact us & join our monthly meetings which are usually held on a Monday at Mount Royal Collegiate from 7-8:30 pm (except in the summer). Our meeting dates have changed so please contact us for the specific dates.
Come be a part of planning our programs, social events & meet new friends!
Our 2017 Annual General Meetings (AGM) is on Monday October 16th at 7pm (in the cafeteria at Mount Royal Collegiate).
Mount Royal Community Day:
The Mount Royal Community Association is hosting the fifth annual Mount Royal Community Day in Mount Royal Park (next to Howard Coad School) on Saturday June 9th, 2018. We had such a positive response to our past community fun days. Please check out the Mount Royal Community Day page for more information about the event.
We are looking for volunteers to help us at the event & also for donations for our garage sale table. Please email us at: email@example.com or call Jan (306-382-9634) if you would like to help.
We need your help! The Mount Royal Community Association needs volunteers!
We have many things that can be done such as organizing events, delivering newsletters, playing musical instruments at our upcoming community day in the park, teaching classes, serving food at the BBQ, setting up tables/chairs at events, help at the skating rink in the winter, writing articles for the website or newsletter, etc…. The rewards can be great. You get to meet new people, have a sense of accomplishment, & have a real input into the workings of your community & city. The City of Saskatoon rewards volunteers with an invitation to volunteer appreciation events that are fun.
Let us know if you are interested! Volunteers are always welcome to lend a hand. We would appreciate your help!
The Mount Royal Community Association’s newsletters go out 3 times per year (January, May & September) & are delivered to all the homes in Mount Royal.
Please let us know if you have any feedback, suggestions or ideas for our community! Have an idea for a class that you would love to be offered in the fall, or know of a person that would be a great instructor, please let us know. If you have any concerns about roads or any other issues in our community, please contact us & we will try to assist you. You may contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
The MRCA built a storage shed. We found it’s difficult to plan events when we lack storage space for essential items. This shed was constructed of steel for security reasons.
