Saskatoon Concert Band on Feb 4th

Concert Celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary!



The Saskatoon Concert Band has partnered with the Mount Royal Community Association to bring you a night of live entertainment with outstanding music, right here in Mount Royal.

The concert will feature Canadian music, for a concert celebrating the 150th year of confederation.

Terry Heckman, local musician, & principal trumpet of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra will be the guest soloist.

  • Date: Saturday February 4th at 7:30pm
  • Location:  Victory Church, 2802 Rusholme Road (in Mount Royal)
  • Price:  Tickets are only $20 for adults, $10 for seniors, $10 for students, children under 8 are free

Advanced tickets are available from the Mount Royal Community Association. A portion of the proceeds from advance tickets purchased directly from the Mount Royal Community Association will generate funds to support programs in the Mount Royal community.

This is a great way to support Saskatoon culture & your local community association.

Are you a “night owl”?  Join photographer Colin Chatfield to learn about photographing the Aurora Lights, stars, moon & the Milky Way.

Colin will share his passion for photographing the night sky, composition tips, camera equipment suggestions, etc…  You will also learn tips on how to do “light painting” using glo-sticks or a flashlight.

Colin’s photos have been featured on the news & his photo was selected to be in the 2016 SGI calendar.

Location:  Mount Royal Collegiate, Saskatoon (2220 Rusholme Road) – in the Cultural Center room (round room located in corner of the school closest to intersection of Avenue W North & Rylston Road)

Gardening Get Together Friday Sept 30th

Hi, everyone is invited to attend a GARDENING GET TOGETHER on Friday September 30th at 7pm at Mount Royal Collegiate cafeteria.

There will be a 30 minute composting presentation, along with time to talk about the community garden & gardening in general. The Mount Royal Community Garden Coordinator Koreen will be there too.

The Mount Royal Community Association is looking for new members with new ideas to join the executive for the upcoming year.

Volunteer are also needed through out the year to help with event planning, organizing classes, school liaison, help with the skating rink, join Citizen Patrol, help with Facebook, help plan the June Community Day, help on Clean Up day and much more…. Please sign up at the AGM.

Without volunteers, classes & events will not be able to continue in Mount Royal. Please consider volunteering. The current executive looks forward to seeing you.
